Attorney Coady Carter successfully argued before the Illinois Appellate Court, affirming the trial court's decision to place custody of two minor children with the foster parent after DCFS attempted to remove the children and place them with grandparents in the Aleutian Islands after 3 years in the foster parent's home and after parental rights had been terminated. The Appellate Court affirmed the trial court ruling and awarded custody to the foster parent.
